The Mayor also signed the petition of the Union of the International Cancer Control (UICC) for the global fight against cancer diseases.

Mrs. Ziv declared: "The opening ceremony of the new complex also includes the "Strong Together" support center, named after Israel Jacob and Lila Alter, which enables a significant expansion of ICA's activities for patients, survivors and their families in and around Jerusalem. The new support center joins the other "Strong Together" centers that are operated by the Israel Cancer Association throughout the country, and which offer a large range of activities for the body and soul, such as Yoga, meditation, art classes and a variety of exercises".
