Thousands ran in the ICA's Popular Race in the Jerusalem Winner Marathon

Over 3,000 runners filled the track at the Popular Race sponsored by the Israel Cancer Association, held as part of the Jerusalem Winner Marathon, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality and courtesy of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank.

Cancer patients, survivors, families, teens, school-age kids, soldiers, and over one hundred Mizrahi Tefahot Bank employees and their families ran alongside each other in pleasant weather, with a lively, upbeat atmosphere pervading throughout.

Among the prominent runners were female volunteers affiliated with the Israel Cancer Association "Yad Lehachlama" support group (Reach to Recovery) - breast cancer survivors who support other women diagnosed with cancer.  82 year old Naomi, a "Yad Lehachlama" volunteer, proudly shared her excitement at running alongside young people and teens.

The guest of honor at the 3rd International Jerusalem Marathon was Prof. Bikles, Director of the Metastatic Bone Disease Treatment Service of the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, who also serves as a consultant to the Israel Cancer Association.
