Works of art of cancer patients and survivors showcased at a unique exhibit held at the "Strong Together" Support Center, Haifa Branch of ICA

A unique exhibit featuring the works of art of cancer patients and survivors opened at the "Strong Together" Support Center - Haifa Branch of the Israel Cancer Association.

The Support Center holds diverse activities on a regular basis, such as support groups, yoga, laughter yoga, Feldenkrais, guided imagery, arts and crafts workshops: painting, sculpture, knitting, photography, and many more events.

Professional instructors deliver different types of art therapy, with great sensitivity, enabling patients and survivors to enhance their quality of life and helping them through their arduous treatment routine.

This unique exhibit boasts a wide array of paintings, sculptures, papier-mache art, photographs and more.  

Alongside the display of emotions and coping strategies, these works are immersed in color, optimism and joie de vivre.

 

The exhibit was launched in a festive event attended by patients, survivors and their families, as well as dignitaries of the Haifa Municipality, Chairman of the Israel Cancer Association, Prof. Robinson, Chairman of the Haifa Branch, Mr. Benny Bernstock, ICA senior executives/employees, Haifa Branch volunteers, and many others.

 

Mrs. Neomi Kafri, Haifa Branch Coordinator, and Mrs. Judi Hanan, Branch secretary, oversaw the production of this exhibition.
