Sunday, 22 September 2013, saw a "Fun-Filled Activity Day" for patients, survivors and their families at the Sportali in Kiryat Motzkin. This moving initiative was conceived by the sheer will power of a young man named Mr. Johnny Makola, who regrettably lost his mother at the age of 11, and wished to launch an activity day in tribute to relatives, grandchildren, and children of those who fight the disease on a daily basis and are witness to the tireless battle of their family members.
