During 2019, gradual changes will be made in the management backbone of the Israel cancer Association (ICA).
Oncologist Prof. Abraham Kuten has been appointed as Chairman of the ICA starting January 2019, replacing Prof. Eliezer Robinson, who have step down after 47 years of voluntary roles, 22 of which he served as the ICA’s chairman.
During the second half of 2019, Mrs. Miri Ziv, the ICA’s CEO, shall begin her appointment as a Deputy Chairman of the ICA, alongside Mr. Leon Recanati, who has been serving as Deputy Chairman of the ICA for the past 29 years.
The association’s CEO position will be filled by CFO Moshe Bar Chaim, who has served as the association’s CFO for the past 19 years.
All members of the professional Committee and Consulting Expert Committees of the ICA work voluntarily, as does Prof. Aaron Ciechanover, 2004 Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry, who serves as volunteer Honorary President of the ICA.
