In the past, ICA installed computer systems in oncology institutes with the aim of enhancing database quality and cancer registry records. 

• Every year, patient data collected from oncology institutes are transferred to the Cancer Data Collection Unit at the Ministry of Health in a format
  defined and formulated by the Data Collection and Follow up Committee.
  
  
• Institutes are required to regularly report on statistics relating to disease staging data at diagnosis, as well as information relating to the date of demise and cause of death of patients.

• In order to implement this project, ICA provides funding for data collection and analysis clerks at 14 oncology centers throughout the country.

• ICA ascertains that public medical institutes attending to cancer patients are provided with the necessary funding for the purchase of equipment, construction and renovation of medical departments, and for the provision of medical services.
