During 2019, gradual changes will be made in the management backbone of the Israel cancer Association (ICA).
Oncologist Prof. Abraham Kuten has been appointed as Chairman of the ICA starting January 2019, replacing Prof. Eliezer Robinson, who has stepped down after 47 years of serving in voluntary roles, 22 of which as the ICA’s Chairman.
During the second half of 2019, Mrs. Miri Ziv, the ICA’s Director General, shall begin her appointment as Vice Chairman of the ICA alongside Mr. Leon Recanati, who has been serving as ICA's Vice Chairman for the past 29 years.
The ICA Director General position will be filled by CPA Moshe Bar Haim, who has served as the association’s CFO for the past 19 years.
All members of the ICA's Executive Committee and Consulting Experts Committees work voluntarily, as does Prof. Aaron Ciechanover, 2004 Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry, who serves as ICA's volunteer Honorary President.
