This week, Hamashbir Lazarchan, Israel's national department store chain, in collaboration with the Israel Cancer Association, will be hosting a Fundraising Event dubbed "Red Lipstick Day", dedicated to women undergoing treatment for cancer.
This fundraising initiative was inspired by Harrods, the London-based luxury department store that has been holding a similar activity for the past three years in a row.
The concept behind this fundraising event stems from the Israel Cancer Association's "Look Good Feel Better" project, based on the idea that pampering women undergoing cancer treatment, and enhancing their external appearance, will make them feel better about themselves as they deal with treatments, and as a result they will look and feel their best.
This event will feature a beauty care event at Hamashbir outlets, where customers will enjoy indulgent beauty treatments, make-up color coordination, and special discounts at the cosmetics and beauty care products departments; they will also be able to purchase red lipstick at a token price of NIS 15, with all proceeds from the lipstick sales dedicated to the Israel Cancer Association - a donation that can save lives.
The "Red Lipstick Day" fundraising event is scheduled to take place from January 26-29 at all Hamashbir Lazarchan outlets.
