Guests viewed compelling photographic vistas of Israel, Italy and Spain during the welcoming reception. The one-of-a-kind photography art prints were conceived by Gala Co-Chair Mrs. Ari Rifkin, an accomplished photographer, who donated 100% of the proceeds to benefit ICA's cancer research.

Interspersed with dinner and dancing were a virtuoso musical interlude by renowned Houston Chamber Symphony violinist Mr. Ferenc Illenyi that earned the concertmaster a standing ovation, and a spectacular performance by two-time Oscar nominated singer/songwriter Mrs. Carol Connors that brought back many memories to guests hearing her sing her hits from yesteryear. She came out to greet the guests to the theme song from the ever-popular movie, Rocky - "Gonna Fly Now", to which Ms. Connors co-wrote the lyrics during her illustrious music career.
