The Israel Cancer Association's (ICA) Annual "Door Knock" Fundraising Campaign, scheduled to take place this Sunday, 26 October, constitutes a significant source of revenue for the numerous and diverse ICA activities, which are made possible thanks to public donations and receive no government funding whatsoever.
As part of this campaign, tens of thousands of school-age children, members of youth movements, and ICA volunteers go knocking on doors to collect donations from Israeli households.
The President of the State of Israel, Mr. Reuven Rivlin and the Minister of Health, Ms. Yael German, opened the Israel Cancer Association's 2014-15 Year of Activity at an impressive ceremony held at the Presidential Residence.

The President remarked at the ceremony: "I am honored to open the Annual "Door Knock" Fundraising Campaign this evening. I sincerely hope that Israeli citizens will all open their doors and hearts and impart hope and healing to patients and their families".
As the "Door Knock" Fundraising Campaign approached, Mrs. Tal Peleg, a visual artist who uses the eyes as a canvas for eye makeup art pieces, volunteered her talents and dedicated a special illustration marking the campaign "Looking to a better future 'For the Patients and Against the Disease', with your help".
