The ICA "Door Knock" Fundraising Campaign scheduled to take place on 19 October has been postponed in some cities and local councils due to the security situation, and will take place next week.
The "Door Knock" Campaign constitutes a crucial source of funding for the ICA's numerous and diverse activities held across Israel, and teaches school-age children about the importance of giving and helping others.
This year we fear that Israel's unique security situation has severely hindered this noteworthy campaign.
The cancer onslaught knows no respite, and even when this calamity that has befallen our country subsides, and we return to our regular routine, the ICA will need resources to continue promoting research, preventing cancers, providing supportive care, overseeing and making advances in treatment and rehabilitation for hundreds of thousands of patients, survivors and their families, and more.
Consequently, particularly during these trying times, we need all the help we can get in raising the necessary funds, so that we can continue operating throughout Israel and conduct potentially life-saving activity.
We call upon all households that have not been visited by volunteer school pupils to open their hearts and pockets and donate in one of the following ways: Click here to make a secure online donation To make a donation over the phone, please call: 1-800-35-46-46
Public Donations enable the ICA to:
Fund scientific research aimed at finding the fastest possible route to a cure.
Fund the services of nurses, psychologists, dieticians, and social workers for patients at hospitals and community clinics.
Conduct public information activities to raise awareness about cancer prevention.
Initiate and establish national programs for early diagnosis of different types of cancers to boost cure rates.
Help children with cancer keep up with their schoolwork.
Run summer vacation camps for patients, survivors and their families.
Purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment for oncology centers and enhance treatment modalities for cancer patients.
Lend a hand in the construction of oncology departments at medical centers across Israel.
Advocate for cancer patients and survivors and promote their rights, and the list goes on and on.
