In pleasant, cool weather and in a festive atmosphere, Mrs. Miri Ziv, ICA Director General, fired the starting shot for the 5 km race in the Jerusalem Marathon, along with Mr. Moshe Vidman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank, and Mr. Rami Levi, Sports Portfolio Holder at the Jerusalem Municipality.
Mrs. Tal Heller of Petah Tikva, who recovered from cancer, joined the ICA running group, and participated alongside patients, survivors and hundreds of Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank employees. They all ran for the fight against cancer.Tal lost her husband in a traffic accident which occurred while he was bike riding to train for a duathlon competition. Several years ago, she developed breast cancer, and on Friday she ran the half marathon.
Tal posted the following on the ICA Facebook page:"Today I am healthy and embarking on my fight to return to an active life....to cope with the physical as well as emotional difficulties, and mainly to engage in physical activity once again and regain control over my body and my life..."
Kudos on a job well done!
