Every October, over 200 buildings are illuminated in pink worldwide, upon the initiative of the global Estée Lauder Companies. Among the landmarks illuminated were the Eiffel Tower in France, the Taipei 101 Building in Taiwan, Tokyo Tower in Japan, the Taj Mahal in India, the Chain Bridge in Hungary, the Sky Tower in New Zealand, the Belvedere Castle in Austria, the China Millennium Monument, the Municipality of Paris, France, the Los Angeles Airport, and the list goes on.
In Israel, in collaboration with the ICA, among the landmarks that have been illuminated to date were the Azrieli Towers, Rothschild Blvd. in Tel Aviv, the Bridge of Strings in Jerusalem, the Tower of David in Jerusalem and the Shalom Tower in Tel Aviv.
The Heichal Hatarbut - Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv was lit up pink this year.
