paid a visit to the Knesset - the Parliament of Israel

Assuta's Mobile Mammography Vehicle, initiated and supported by the ICA, paid a visit to the Knesset - the Parliament of Israel - on November 8, 2016, as part of Women's Health Day.  Female Parliamentary staff, including members of Knesset, were invited to undergo a mammographic screening intended to facilitate early detection of breast cancer.

The Mobile Mammography Vehicle endeavors to narrow the gaps in mammography compliance rates between the various population sectors and between women residing in localities of the central region on the one hand, and those residing in the country's periphery, on the other.  Over 13,000 women undergo a mammographic screening in the Mobile Mammography Vehicle which reaches their place of residence.  This screening is available free of charge for members of healthcare funds who meet the requirements of the health care package.
