Every year there is a vacation for families who have a child with cancer.
In recent years this vacation has been held at Kibbutz Shefayim.
Hundreds of Jewish and Arab families, both secular and religious, new immigrants and native Israelis participate in this program; many of these families are large-sized.
The participants enjoy spending time at the water park and motor park at Shefayim, and a colorful artistic program featuring leading Israeli artists.
This vacation is a unique opportunity for these families to take a respite from the fight against the disease, and the stress and anxiety involved in the difficult treatments, as well as a chance to spend quality time together as a family.
This vacation focuses on the family, with an emphasis on its healthy members as well, affording them the opportunity to "recharge their batteries" to continue battling the disease.
